Prepare for Chameleos with Fire Element Quests!
Hunters,
Numbers of Azure Rathalos, Glavenus, Rathalos, Aknosom, Basarios, and Anjanath are on the rise, and Silver Rathalos are also showing some increased activity!
This is a great opportunity to upgrade your fire-element weapons, so we’ve prepared quests that will task you with slaying Silver Rathalos, Azure Rathalos, and other monsters.
Complete them all to earn yourself a Silver Rathalos Plate, Glavenus Plate, Wyvern Gem Shard, and more!
Additionally, all weapons forged and upgraded with materials from these monsters will be boosted based on monster difficulty.
With Chameleos on the way, this is the perfect time to upgrade your fire-element weapons!

Event Details
Monster appearances:
- During the event, Silver Rathalos will appear in forest and swamp habitats.
- The following monsters will appear more frequently in the specified habitats. They will also appear more frequently while influenced by Dimensional Links.
Azure Rathalos: forest habitats
Glavenus: forest / desert habitats
Rathalos: forest habitats
Aknosom: swamp / tundra habitats
Basarios: desert habitats
Anjanath: desert habitats
*Aknosom will also appear in regular numbers in forest habitats.
*Anjanath will also appear in regular numbers in forest habitats.
Hunt-a-thon points:
- There will be some event-exclusive Hunt-a-thon points featuring Silver Rathalos and Glavenus.
- There will be some event-exclusive Hunt-a-thon points featuring Azure Rathalos and Glavenus.
Reward increases:
- During the event, receive 50%(*) more materials than usual for slaying Silver Rathalos, Azure Rathalos, Glavenus, Rathalos, Aknosom, Basarios, or Anjanath.
*You will receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards. - Hunt at Hunt-a-thon points for a chance to earn 10 Rarity 1 materials from the monster you slay.
Weapons using materials from certain monsters will be boosted!
During the event, all weapons forged and upgraded with materials from the following monsters will receive a performance boost based on monster difficulty: Silver Rathalos, Azure Rathalos, Glavenus, Rathalos, Aknosom, Basarios, and Anjanath. Take this opportunity to wield some of those weapons and try hunting different monsters!
Starting Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. (local time), Chameleos appears! It’s weak to fire, so use this opportunity to prepare your fire-element weapons.

*All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
*Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
*To forge equipment using materials obtained from Premium Quests, you must first slay the corresponding monster or unlock it on the field.
*Event quests will be available from Monday, May 19th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, May 25th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
