Riftborne Bazelgeuse Arrives
Date & Time
Thursday, June 18th, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. (UTC)
Riftborne Bazelgeuse joins the hunt as a new riftborne monster, and weapons forged from Bazelgeuse materials can be upgraded through style customization!
Weapons forged from Bazelgeuse materials boast high attack and blast element values (fire element for light bowgun). With style customization, they become even more powerful, and style selection opens up entirely new ways to hunt.
Another unique feature of Bazelgeuse weapons is that each weapon type comes with a different skill!
| Weapon Type | Skill Name | Skill Description |
|---|---|---|
| Dual Blades | Critical Ferocity Lv. 1 | Reduces weapon's affinity, but grants a small chance of increasing negative affinity damage. |
| Long Sword | Quick Work Lv. 1 | Become ever so slightly faster at sheathing or transforming your weapon. |
| Hunting Horn | Partbreaker Lv. 1 | Increases part damage accumulated on breakable parts. |
| Lance | Offensive Guard Lv. 2 | Increases attack power after executing a well-timed guard. |
| Gunlance | Artillery Lv. 1 | Increases damage of gunlance's Shelling/Wyvern's Fire, charge blade's phial attacks, sticky ammo, and wyvern ammo. |
| Switch Axe | Burst Lv. 2 | Landing consecutive hits in a short span of time increases attack power. |
| Light Bowgun | Evading Reload Lv. 2 | Grants a chance of phials/ammo being refilled when evading while equipped with a gunlance, charge blade, light bowgun or heavy bowgun. |
In addition, for a limited time, the materials required to forge and upgrade Bazelgeuse weapons will be reduced!
From July 3 (Fri) to July 5 (Sun), Riftborne Bazelgeuse will appear in monster outbreaks at exploration bases!
Weapons forged from Bazelgeuse materials are also featured defense weapons for Season 10 Wave 1, so use this opportunity to gather materials, upgrade your weapons, and prepare for Base Defense!
- Equipment skills on Bazelgeuse weapons are unlocked by upgrading them to Grade 8.

About Season 10 Base Defense
■ Base Defense Update
A future update will allow you to view the Defense Points earned by your friends in Base Defense, as well as the equipment they used during their hunts.
The final week of each month-long Wave (exploration period) at exploration bases will culminate in a Base Defense event, where you face off against powerful riftcharged monsters. These monsters have been heavily influenced by abnormal rifts and cannot be slain in a single hunt. You’ll need to team up with other hunters in your area and challenge them multiple times!
You can use any weapon in these hunts, but equipping one of the featured defense weapons for the corresponding Wave will earn you bonus Defense Points. Forge and upgrade featured defense weapons throughout the month so you’ll be well prepared to take on the riftcharged monster!
