Signs of activity from Gold Rathian have been confirmed! Other monsters like Deviljho, Pink Rathian, Ebony Odogaron, Rathian, Great Wroggi, and Pukei-Pukei are also becoming more active. Additionally, Nergigante has been spotted in Elder Dragon Interceptions!

We’ve received reports that you can earn Shining Eggs and more, which can be exchanged for Zenny, as rewards from regular hunts, Hunt-a-thons, and Elder Dragon Interceptions.

To help you take full advantage of this event and upgrade your dragon- and poison-element weapons, quests focused on Gold Rathian and Ebony Odogaron will be available! Complete them to earn rewards like a Gold Rathian Plate, Wyvern Gem Shard, and Dazzling Egg.

Event Details

Monster appearances

• During the event, Gold Rathian will appear in desert and swamp habitats.
• The following monsters will appear more frequently in the specified habitats.
  • Deviljho: forest / desert / swamp / tundra habitats
  • Pink Rathian: forest / swamp habitats
  • Ebony Odogaron: forest / desert / tundra habitats
  • Rathian: forest / desert habitats
  • Great Wroggi: forest / swamp habitats
  • Pukei-Pukei: forest / desert / swamp habitats
  • Ebony Odogaron will also appear in low numbers in swamp habitats.
  • Pink Rathian will appear on the field as long as you have completed the prologue and unlocked Rathian.
  • Deviljho will also appear more frequently in volatile territories.
  • Volatile territories themselves will not occur more frequently.
• Deviljho will be the only monster to invade in volatile territories.
• Riftborne Rathian will also appear more frequently.

Reward increases

• During the event, receive 50% more materials than usual for slaying Gold Rathian, Deviljho, Pink Rathian, Ebony Odogaron, Rathian (and Riftborne Rathian), Great Wroggi, and Pukei-Pukei.
  You will receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards.
• Receive more rewards for hunts carried out at Hunt-a-thon points.
  You will receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards.
• Hunt at Hunt-a-thon points for a chance to earn 10 Rarity 1 materials from the monster you slay.
• In Elder Dragon Interceptions, the number of basic rewards will be doubled upon repelling, and 50% higher upon slaying Nergigante.
  You will receive two of each material in the first to fourth slots of basic rewards.

Collect Shining Eggs and exchange them for Zenny!

• During the event, slay Gold Rathian, Deviljho, Pink Rathian, Ebony Odogaron, Rathian (and Riftborne Rathian), Great Wroggi, and Pukei-Pukei in hunts or Hunt-a-thons for the chance to earn a Shining Egg, Gleaming Egg, or Dazzling Egg as a reward.
• Slaying the 5th monster in Hunt-a-thons or repelling/slaying an elder dragon in Elder Dragon Interceptions will guarantee you either a Shining Egg, Gleaming Egg, or Dazzling Egg as a reward.
• These Eggs can be exchanged for Zenny by tapping the button to the right of the sort function in your Item Box. For details on how to exchange them, check out the FAQ.
• You can still exchange Eggs for Zenny even after the event ends.

Elder Dragon Interceptions

• During the event, only Nergigante will appear at Elder Dragon Interception points.

Limited-time quests

Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Gold Rathian and Ebony Odogaron.

Premium Quests

Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!
During this event, 3 Premium Quests will be available: Premium Quest: Nergigante Materials, Premium Quest: Gold Rathian Materials, and Premium Quest: Deviljho Materials.

Additional Information

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• Appearances of volatile territories on the field can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
  The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
• Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
• Event quests will be available from Monday, July 14th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, July 20th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
