We’re seeing increased activity from Zinogre, Rajang, Tobi-Kadachi, Khezu, and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and Kirin has been spotted in Elder Dragon Interceptions!

During this upcoming event, you’ll be able to obtain a new type of Mysterious Driftstone for slaying monsters. This driftstone can be used to grant the new skill, Timed Charger, or the existing skill, Headstrong, to your armor.

On top of that, you’ll have a higher chance of receiving Crimson/Azure/Amber/Cyan/Pale Driftstones when slaying monsters other than the ones listed above. This is your chance to grab the driftstones you’ve been looking for more easily than usual!

And don’t forget: the required walking distance for smelting driftstones obtained during the event is reduced from 5 km to just 1 km. Make the most of this opportunity to get smelting!

Event Details

Monster appearances

• The following monsters will appear more frequently in the specified habitats.
  • Zinogre: forest / swamp habitats
    • Zinogre will also appear in low numbers in tundra habitats.
  • Rajang: desert / tundra habitats
    • Rajang will also appear in low numbers in forest and swamp habitats.
  • Tobi-Kadachi: forest / swamp habitats
    • Riftborne Tobi-Kadachi will also appear more frequently.
  • Khezu: swamp / tundra habitats
  • Tzitzi-Ya-Ku: desert / swamp habitats

Reward increases

• During the event, receive more materials than usual for slaying Zinogre, Rajang, Tobi-Kadachi, Khezu, and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku.
  You will receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards.
• In Elder Dragon Interceptions, the number of basic rewards will be doubled upon repelling, and 50% higher upon slaying Kirin.
  You will receive two of each material in the first to fourth slots of basic rewards.

Elder Dragon Interceptions

• During the event, only Kirin will appear at Elder Dragon Interception points.

Driftstones

• During the event, slaying any large monster other than Kirin, Zinogre, Rajang, Tobi-Kadachi, Khezu, and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku will give you a higher chance of receiving a Crimson/Azure/Amber/Cyan/Pale Driftstone.
• During the event, slaying any large monster may reward you with Mysterious Driftstone I.
• During the event, slaying Zinogre, Rajang, Tobi-Kadachi, Khezu, or Tzitzi-Ya-Ku will guarantee you Mysterious Driftstone I. Regular driftstones will not drop from these monsters.
• Slaying or repelling Kirin will guarantee you Mysterious Driftstone I. Regular driftstones will not drop.
• The distance required for driftsmelting with driftstones obtained during this event period will be reduced from the usual 5 km to 1 km.
  Driftgems, including Mysterious Driftgem I, will require 5 km.
• Mysterious Driftgem I will be eligible for exchanging driftstone shards.
• Mysterious Driftstone I and Mysterious Driftgem I may grant your armor the skills Timed Charger and Headstrong.

Mysterious Driftstone I may grant your armor the new skill, Timed Charger.

• Skill name: Timed Charger
  Skill effect: Increases attack power when executing a well-timed attack after performing a charged action.

Limited-time quests

Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Zinogre and Rajang.

Main rewards lineup:

• Gatherable materials including Earth Crystals
• Monster materials including a Zinogre Plate, Gold Rajang Pelt, and Wyvern Gem Shard

Premium Quests

Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!
During this event, 2 Premium Quests will be available: Zinogre Premium Quest and Rajang Premium Quest.

Additional Information

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• Driftsmelting can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
  The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
• Event quests will be available from Monday, August 4th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, August 10th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
• Driftstones can be obtained when you have space to store new ones.
• The distance required to smelt a driftstone acquired before the event period will remain 5 km even if it is smelted during the event period, but the distance required for a driftstone acquired by hunting a monster during the event period will remain 1 km after the event period ends.
• The distance required to smelt driftgems obtained by exchanging driftstone shards will remain the same during the event.
