It’s nearly time for another driftsmelting event! This time, you’ll be able to obtain a new type of Mysterious Driftstone, which may grant the skills Resuscitate or Coalescence to your armor.

With the driftsmelting update at the beginning of November, you can now store more skills, and new types of driftgems let you guarantee a specific skill when smelting. Take this opportunity to try out improved driftsmelting alongside the event!

From Monday, November 24th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, November 30th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time)

Event Details

Monster Appearances

Activity is expected to increase for the following monsters.

• Legiana (including Riftborne)
• Magnamalo (including Riftborne)
• Gold Rathian
• Pink Rathian
• Mizutsune

Elder Dragon Appearances

Only the following will appear at Elder Dragon Interception points:

• Malzeno

Event Effects

• Driftstone bonus
  • Slay any large monster for a chance of receiving Mysterious Driftstone L.
    • Guaranteed drop from any of the featured monsters and Malzeno (regular driftstones will not drop).
    • Slay any large monster other than the featured ones for a chance of receiving either Mysterious Driftstone L or a Crimson/Azure/Amber/Cyan/Pale Driftstone.
  • The distance required for driftsmelting with driftstones obtained during this event period will be 1 km.

New Driftstone & Driftgem

Collect a new driftstone, Mysterious Driftstone L! In addition, you’ll be able to obtain a Resuscitate Driftgem by exchanging driftstone shards.

• Mysterious Driftstone L may grant your armor either Resuscitate or Coalescence.
• A Resuscitate Driftgem will grant your armor Resuscitate.
• More details about Mysterious Driftstone L will be added to the FAQ at a later date.

Resuscitate and Coalescence work best with skills that inflict status ailments on yourself. The armor above was selected mainly for having those compatible skills.

• Hellfire Cloak: Inflict yourself with hellfireblight.
• Bubbly Dance: Inflict yourself with bubbleblight.
• Bleeding Edge: Inflict yourself with bleeding.
• Blood Cloak: Inflict yourself with bloodblight.

Limited-Time Quests

Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Gold Rathian and Mizutsune. Complete them to earn materials for the target monster!

Premium Quests

Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!

• Activate Premium Quests:

Additional Information

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
• Driftsmelting can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
  The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
• Event quests will be available from Monday, November 24th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, November 30th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
• Driftstones can be obtained when you have space to store new ones.
• The distance required to smelt a driftstone acquired before the event period will remain the same even if it is smelted during the event period, but the distance required for a driftstone acquired by hunting a monster during the event period will remain 1 km after the event period ends.
• The distance required to smelt driftgems obtained by exchanging driftstone shards will remain the same during the event.
