Can you handle Poison/Dragon Element Quests?!

Something’s afoot! Recent reports show increasing activity of Pink Rathian, Rathian, Pukei-Pukei, and even Basarios. What’s more, it looks like Deviljho sightings in volatile territories are also on the rise!

That’s a lot of monsters so we’ve prepared some quests specially designed to help you upgrade your poison and dragon element weapons by hunting these active monsters! Rewards include monster materials, as well as a Wyvern Gem Shard and Deviljho Saliva for those who make it to the end. You can also look forward to new upgrade packs which will be available in the in-game Shop and Web Store.

From Monday, July 8th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m.

Event Details:

There’ll be a total of 14 limited-time quests that include slaying large monsters. Completing these will earn you materials such as a Pink Rathian Plate and making it to the end will net you a Wyvern Gem Shard and Deviljho Saliva.

Rewards lineup:

• Gatherable materials including Earth Crystals
• Monster materials including a Wyvern Gem Shard, Deviljho Saliva, and a Pink Rathian Plate
• Zenny
• Season Tier Points

What to expect during this event:

• Receive 50%* more rewards when you slay Deviljho, Pink Rathian, Rathian, Basarios, and Pukei-Pukei.
  *You will receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards.
• More frequent appearances of Pink Rathian in forest habitats, Rathian and Basarios in desert habitats, and Pukei-Pukei in swamp habitats.
• More frequent appearances of Deviljho in volatile territories.*
  *Occurrences of volatile territories themselves will remain the same.
• Appearances of Deviljho, Pink Rathian, and Basarios at Hunt-a-thon Points.

More about status ailments (poison)

• When a certain amount of damage is dealt with a weapon that can inflict status ailment, the monster will become affected.
• When poisoned, the monster’s health will continuously decrease for a certain amount of time. Combining this with damage from attacks allows for more efficient hunting.
• The Poison Attack skill increases the chances of inflicting poison.
• While the Fire/Water/Thunder/Ice/Dragon Attack skills increase damage, the ailment-inflicting Poison/Paralysis/Sleep Attack skills do not affect damage but instead increase the buildup of the status ailment.

*The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
*Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
*Quests will be available from Monday, July 8th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until Wednesday, July 17th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
