Major Update: Fulminations in the Frost is here!

Our first major update, Fulminations in the Frost, just dropped today! We’ve got a huge lineup of new things to enjoy, including two new weapon types and four new large monsters, as well as Hunt-a-thons and more.

Wield two new weapon types: Dual Blades and Lances
Introducing Dual Blades and Lances!
・Dual Blades
This weapon hits quickly and boasts great mobility, allowing you to launch attacks in quick succession. Entering Demon Mode switches up the actions and enhances attack performance. It also has its own stamina gauge. Stamina gets used up while activated, ending Demon Mode once it has run out.
Special Skill: Heavenly Blade Dance (SP)—a series of fatal attacks that soar high into the sky, slicing through monsters.
・Lance
This weapon allows you to guard by performing a Hold Action. It boasts very high defense and has a long reach. Performing a Counter-Thrust at just the right timing allows you to guard against monster attacks so you can inflict high damage with minimal vulnerability.
Special Skill: Dash Attack—a lethal, full-throttle thrust that penetrates through all defenses.
Get ready to hunt four new large monsters
Radobaan, Banbaro, Barioth, and Zinogre are joining us!
Completing the Urgent Quests that occur in each chapter of a new Special Quest will allow you to encounter and hunt Radobaan, Banbaro, and Barioth on the field. You’ll also face off against Zinogre in an Urgent Quest, but after that, it will be exclusive to Hunt-a-thons, a new hunting experience launching on December 15.
Don’t snooze on the new sleep element
A new element has been added! Build up enough sleep-element damage and you can send your opponent into a deep slumber. The first blow dealt to a monster with sleep status will do more damage than usual. Materials from the newly added Radobaan will allow you to forge weapons that have the sleep element.
Rebalancing existing weapon types and monsters
Based on your feedback and data, as well as the newly added weapon types and monsters, we have adjusted the game balance of existing weapon types and monsters in order to bring you an even more enjoyable experience.

Enjoy a snowy field for winter
Look out for some changes in the appearance of forest, desert, and swamp habitats, which are now blanketed in snow. New small monsters—Wulg and Cortos—will be appearing, and there will even be some new music to enjoy while you roam!
Get ready for Zinogre’s Onslaught and the release of Hunt-a-thons
Zinogre will be appearing alongside a brand-new hunting experience—Hunt-a-thons!
Hunt-a-thons, which will launch on December 15, are events that occur at specific times. During them, some gathering points turn into Hunt-a-thon Points, allowing you to hunt five large monsters in succession. Large monsters that you encounter in Hunt-a-thons are stronger than those that usually appear in the field so team up with other hunters to take them on.
From December 15 until December 17, Zinogre’s Onslaught will also be held, with Zinogre as the guaranteed fifth monster in all Hunt-a-thons! Completing exclusive Event Quests during this time will reward you with a new Hunter Medal, so prepare your ice-element weapons and get ready to hunt Zinogre! Zinogre will still appear in Hunt-a-thons after December 17, but at its usual rate.

From Friday, December 15, 2023, at 12:15 p.m. until Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 10:00 p.m.
Event Details:
・During the event, appearance rates of Zinogre in Hunt-a-thons will be boosted.
・You will receive a time-limited quest that requires you to slay Zinogre. Complete this quest to receive materials and a new Hunter Medal.
Additional Information:
*Updated Dec 16: Hunt-a-thons appear in the preliminary state at designated points around 8:50 AM local time, with the first session starting around 9:15 AM. The final event of the day begins approximately at 8:45 PM local time and concludes around 9:15 PM. Please be aware of your surroundings and follow guidelines from local health authorities when playing. *Times may vary slightly.
*Updated Dec 13: Hunt-a-thons will be released on Friday, December 15, at 9:15 a.m. and Zinogre will begin appearing from 12:15 p.m. the same day. Please note that in time zones prior to Japan Standard Time (GMT+9), Hunt-a-thons will begin after December 14, 23:45 pm GMT.
・All hunters HR 11 and above can participate in Hunt-a-thons.
・After participating in a Hunt-a-thon, there will be a waiting period before another can be joined.
・You can join another Hunt-a-thon immediately by using a Hunt-a-thon Ticket. Hunt-a-thon Tickets can be purchased in the in-app shop.
・Make sure to update your app to the latest version as of December 15 to be able to participate in Hunt-a-thons.
・While appearance rates are boosted, Zinogre will appear in Hunt-a-thons more frequently than usual for all hunters HR 11 and above.
・Zinogre will still appear in Hunt-a-thons after December 17, but at its usual rate.
・Special Quests will automatically become available to all hunters HR 11 and above in the Special Quests tab in-game.
・Quests will be available from Friday, December 15, 2023, at 12:15 p.m. until Sunday, December 17, 2023, at 10:00 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
