Season 2 is coming to an end and it’s going out with a BLAST! Get ready for a new event featuring the first-ever appearance of Teostra and the newly added blast element.

New event: Howls of the Flaming King

Teostra will make its debut as the second elder dragon in Monster Hunter Now! With it comes the blast element and a new skill, Teostra Blastpowder.

◆ Dates and Times

From Friday, August 16th, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, August 25th, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (local time)

◆ Event Details

• During the event, only Teostra will appear in Elder Dragon Interceptions.
  *After the event ends, Teostra and Kushala Daora will both appear.
  *At Elder Dragon Interception points that are ongoing before the event starts, Kushala Daora will continue to appear even after the event begins. However, any that enter a preliminary state after the event starts will only feature Teostra.
• Limited-time quests will include slaying large monsters. Complete these quests to earn a Wyvern Gem Shard and gatherable materials. Make it to the end for a Teostra Tail!

• Gatherable materials including Monster Bone+
• Monster materials including a Wyvern Gem Shard and Teostra Tail
• Zenny

What is the blast element?

• Attacking monsters with a weapon that has the blast element will inflict blast buildup. Once the buildup reaches a certain threshold, an explosion occurs, dealing damage to the part where the buildup was accumulated last.
• Blast damage is fixed and can deal damage even to parts where normal damage is less effective.

New skill: Teostra Blastpowder

• Teostra Blastpowder is exclusive to armor forged from Teostra materials.
• Attacking with a weapon that has the blast element makes it easier to inflict blastblight status buildup on monsters and easier to rid yourself of blastblight.

What is blastblight?

• A guaranteed status ailment when hit by attacks that inflict blastblight.
• Sparks will start to appear on the body, and after a certain period, an explosion will occur, causing damage.
