What is the "Monster Hunter Now Carnival"?

The "Monster Hunter Now Carnival" is Monster Hunter Now's biggest premium event! It kicks off with a real-world event, followed by a global event which is accessible from anywhere in the world. By purchasing separate tickets for each event, participants can enjoy exclusive gameplay experiences available only on these specific days, and encounter special monsters within the game.

Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024：Shibuya

Kick off the excitement with the “Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 : Shibuya”! This thrilling real-world event will take place on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th, 2024, in Shibuya, Tokyo. For this inaugural year, the Elder Dragon Nergigante, Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian will descend upon Monster Hunter Now!
Gather with fellow hunters to be among the first to face these debuting monsters and immerse yourself in unique, real-life experiences!

From noon on the day of the event, Nergigante will descend upon the Elder Dragon Interception Points, and you will be able to participate in interceptions by advancing special quests.

How to Purchase Tickets

[Important Ticket Information]

To enjoy the event, you must be HR11 or higher.
You can participate on only one day out of the two-day event.
No changes to your participation date after ticket purchase.
Tickets are available for purchase until 3:59 PM (JST) on the event day.
Tickets to this event are nonrefundable (subject to applicable law and the exceptions set forth in the Terms of Service).
Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
If tickets are still available, the event list will display "Tickets Available!"
You can only enjoy the event on the date and location listed on your ticket. No ticket, no participation in the event.
The event content may change without notice.

Monster Hunter Now
Carnival 2024 : Global

Can’t make it to the “Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 : Shibuya”? No problem! The “Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 : Global” will take place from Saturday, November 2nd, 9:00 AM to Sunday, November 3rd, 11:59 PM (local time). During this event, all hunters who purchase a ticket will be able to take on the Elder Dragon Nergigante, Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian from anywhere in the world. Of course, those who have already participated in the live event in Shibuya can also join the global event by purchasing a separate ticket.

Tickets will go on sale starting at 9:00 AM (local time) on Wednesday, October 16, 2024. More details will be announced when ticket sales begin.

Event Area Game Experience

Only hunters with tickets can participate in the event. If you do not have a ticket, you will not be able to participate on any of the event days.
To start your “Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 : Shibuya” experience, you must be in the event area. Please ensure that you check the area details before attending.
The event can only be experienced during the event time for the day specified on your ticket.

1Obtain Nergigante Tracks!

Once you enter the event area in Shibuya, you can start special quests! Go around the area looking for tracks of Nergigante and complete the special quests.

Details

When you start the special quest and complete the first quest, an additional quest, which includes slaying, will be added. You can progress through both quests simultaneously.
By going through the special quests, you will obtain 2 special medals, exclusive layered equipment for the Shibuya event, exclusive guild card background, and materials of the monsters that will appear during the event.
There will be about twice as many Elder Dragon Interception Points in the Shibuya event area as usual.
From noon on the day of the event, Nergigante will descend upon the Elder Dragon Interception Points, and you will be able to participate in interceptions by completing special quests.
During the event, the basic rewards for monsters that make a debut in the event will be increased (the first and second slots of the basic rewards will have two materials)! In addition, while you participate in Elder Dragon Interceptions of Nergigante, you can enjoy hunting with special backgrounds and background music on the hunt screen.

2Hunt the Silver Rathalos and
Gold Rathian!

When you start the special quest within the Shibuya event area, the Silver Rathalos and Gold Rathian will spawn within the event area. These rare monsters are expected to become more active in Shibuya. Explore the area as you walk around and take on the challenge to hunt them down!

3Exclusive Event Equipment
(Weapons & Armor)

When you start the special quest and complete the first quest, you will be supplied with materials to forge exclusive weapons and armor specific to the event. Only during the event period of the “Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 : Shibuya”, these pieces of equipment will adapt their performance based on the ★ (difficulty level) of the monsters encountered. Even hunters who don't yet possess high-grade weapons and armor can enjoy hunting with this special gear!

Materials required to upgrade and overgrade the exclusive equipment can be obtained not only from the special quests but also from slaying large monsters.
During the event (until the end of “Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 : Global”), the amount of materials required to upgrade and overgrade this limited-time equipment will be reduced compared to usual.

4Event-Exclusive Driftstone

When you slay Silver Rathalos or Gold Rathian within the event area, you may acquire the event-exclusive Driftstone “Mysterious Driftstone (Shibuya 2024)”. Using this Driftstone for driftsmelting will guarantee to grant the "Solidarity (Shibuya 2024)" to your armor.

The distance required to driftsmelt the “Mysterious Driftstone (Shibuya 2024)” is 1 km.
The more hunters in a Group Hunt who have activated the "Solidarity (Shibuya 2024)," the more your attack power will increase. Additionally, the effect is even stronger during event hours!

5A Major Upgrade to Your Usual Hunting Experience!

When you start the event through special quests, the following additional effects will be activated. These effects will persist even outside of the event area:

Large monsters will respawn every 30 minutes.
Your access range will be expanded by 1.5x (cannot be combined with Wander Orb or Wander Droplet).
No waiting time for Elder Dragon Interceptions or Hunt-a-thons - join at any time!
Gathering Point (L) respawn time will be reduced to 30 minutes.

6Monster Guide

Nergigante

An elder dragon recognizable by its gigantic horns, massive wings and the countless spikes that adorn its whole body. This monster is known for its penchant to wreak destruction with little regard for its own wellbeing. Nergigante's attacks are incredibly dangerous, especially when it rears back to slam its arms down or when it soars into the air for a devastating dive attack.

Silver Rathalos

A rare silver-scaled Rathalos species. When wreathed in hellfire, its breath grows more lethal and it gains a new set of attacks.

Gold Rathian

A rare gleaming gold-scaled Rathian species. When wreathed in hellfire, its breath grows more lethal and its tail swipes have greater range.

Real Experiences
in the Event Area

The event area will feature three Base Camps where you can interact with fellow hunters, take memorable photos, and enjoy an illustration exhibition. Visitors will also receive novelty goods! Be sure to stop by!

While we have prepared a sufficient quantity of items, please note that daily stock is limited and distribution will end once supplies run out at each distribution point.
Due to limited quantities, we kindly ask that you refrain from receiving the items more than once.

2Access to Base Camps and Features

Please note that entry may be restricted depending on the level of congestion. We appreciate your understanding in advance.

Meiji Park (Tokyo Metropolitan Park)

This is the largest base camp of the "Monster Hunter Now Carnival 2024 : Shibuya." Multiple tents will be set up, providing space for hunters to interact, enjoy an illustration exhibition, various photo spots, and an AR photo booth. You’ll also find a real-life version of the Cooking settings, which recently appeared in Monster Hunter Now!
