Wield and master your very own Switch Axe with Training Quests!

We’re excited to announce the arrival of an additional weapon type: the Switch Axe!

The Switch Axe lets you switch skillfully between two modes: the long-reaching Axe Mode and the fast-attacking Sword Mode. Switching from Axe to Sword requires building up the Switch Gauge. While in Axe Mode, the gauge fills over time, with successful hits, or by performing a Morph Slash. While in Sword Mode, the Switch Gauge is depleted, and once depleted, the weapon will automatically return to Axe Mode. Sword Mode also grants additional effects and follow-up attacks based on the type of phial equipped. Activate Zero Sum Discharge (SP) to sink your Sword Mode Switch Axe into the monster, before discharging all of your phial’s energy.

To help you master the Switch Axe, we’ve prepared some special limited-time quests. Take advantage of this weapon’s versatility to gain an edge in your hunts!

Event Details:

To celebrate the arrival of the Switch Axe, we’ve prepared special Switch Axe Training Quests which will be available for a limited time! You’ll be able to forge and upgrade your Bone Axe to grade 6 using Switch Axe Training Tickets from these quests, along with other materials.
*Upgrading past grade 7 is possible by using only materials.
These quests will also reward more Season Tier Points than the usual event quests.

Main rewards lineup:

• Gatherable materials including Monster Bone+
• Switch Axe Training Tickets

*Quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the pre-season story Chapter 2: Shimmering Swamp and unlocked the Switch Axe.
*Upgrading past grade 7 will not require Switch Axe Training Tickets.
*Beginner Weapon Tickets cannot be used to forge and upgrade a Bone Axe.
*Switch Axe Training Tickets cannot be used to forge and upgrade other types of Switch Axes.

*Quests will be available from Thursday, December 12th, 2024, at 12:00 a.m. until Friday, February 28th, 2025, at 2:59 p.m. UTC. Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
