We’re holding a special event to celebrate the arrival of the new riftborne monster, Black Diablos!

Starting with the update on Monday, October 19th, Riftborne Black Diablos will begin appearing, and weapons forged from Black Diablos materials will become eligible for style customization. Reach style customization Lv10 with Black Diablos weapons to unlock an additional equipment skill.

During the event, large monsters including Black Diablos and Aurora Somnacanth will appear more frequently. Event bonuses will also make it easier to stock up on monster materials!

Autumn is here, and it’s the perfect season to get out and explore! To help you make the most of your autumn hunts, we’re giving away an Item Box Expansion and Paintballs. Enjoy the season and hunt plenty of monsters along the way!

Limited-Time Quest: Riftborne Assault: Black Diablos

Take on limited-time quests that task you with hunting Black Diablos and Aurora Somnacanth. Complete them to earn materials from the target monster!

Limited-Time Quest: Riftborne Assault: Black Diablos (Weapon Rush)

These limited-time quests will vary depending on the strength (★) of monsters appearing on the field at the beginning of the event.

Take on quests to forge and upgrade weapons using Black Diablos materials. Complete them to earn plenty of Black Diablos materials and upgrade your Black Diablos weapons!

Quest Unlock Conditions

1. Hunters with 8★ or higher monsters appearing on the field
2. Hunters with 7★ or lower monsters appearing on the field

Quest Completion Rewards

Notes

• Quest objectives and rewards differ between groups 1 and 2.
• Quest objectives are determined by the monster strength you have unlocked when the event begins.
  • Unlocking 8★ monsters on the field during the event will not change the objectives for Riftborne Assault: Black Diablos (Weapon Rush).
  • Changing the monsters appearing in the field to 7★ or lower during the event will not change the objectives for Riftborne Assault: Black Diablos (Weapon Rush).
• You cannot play both the group 1 and 2 quests.

Riftborne Assault: Black Diablos Special Field Hunt Ticket

By purchasing a Special Field Hunt Ticket, you can enjoy various bonuses to help you in your hunts! Exclusive quests will also be available only to ticket holders. Make the most of this ticket to enhance your hunting experience!

• Effects of the Special Field Hunt Ticket

  • Unlimited use of Paintballs.
  • Large monsters reappear in just 30 minutes.
  • The access range will be expanded by 50% at all times, and you will get double the materials from slaying small monsters and from gathering points.
    Cannot be combined with a Wander Orb, Wander Droplet, or Wander Powder.
  • Take on limited-time quests.
    No hunter medals will be awarded as quest rewards.

• During the following times, the only monsters that will appear on the field are Black Diablos (including Riftborne), Aurora Somnacanth, Brachydios, and Seregios.

  • 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.
  • 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
  • 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

• Separate tickets will be available for Oct. 21 (Wed) through Oct. 25 (Sun).

• Ticket effects will apply from 9:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (local time) on the corresponding date.

• Ticket sales are planned to begin around Oct. 19 (Mon).

• Tickets can be purchased via the in-app Shop, the Special Quests tab, or the Web Store. Purchases made through the Web Store include a bonus Item Box Expansion.

• The Extreme Hunter Pass is also on sale, making unlimited Paintballs even more effective by increasing your Paintball list capacity by +20. Be sure to combine them for maximum benefit!

Monster Investigations
Select an investigation target to make it easier to find that monster. Tap the Featured Monster Investigations icon in the top-left corner of the main screen to see which Monster Investigations are available.

3rd Anniversary Special Investigation
This investigation makes it easier to find Rathalos, Mizutsune, Zinogre, Legiana, Deviljho, and Magnamalo. Select the 3rd Anniversary Special Investigation and Deviljho will appear on the field. This is a great opportunity to upgrade weapons that currently have reduced material requirements, so be sure to make the most of it!

Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!

Additional Information

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• Featured Monster Investigations can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
• The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
• Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
• Event quests will be available from Monday, October 19th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. – Sunday, October 25th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
