Read on to find out what’s happening during Season 10 Wave 2!
With Wave 2 beginning on July 20th, the elder dragon Velkhana finally arrives to Monster Hunter Now! In addition, Riftborne Bishaten, Riftborne Lagombi, and style selection for the hunting horn will all arrive at the start of the event.
The MH Now Summer Hunt 2026 is also just around the corner! Throughout the event, Velkhana will be the only elder dragon appearing at Elder Dragon Interception points. Make the most of Friend Link and challenge Velkhana together with your friends!
Riftcharged Diablos will take over Base Defense! The featured defense weapons for this event include weapons forged from Bishaten, Lagombi, and, in celebration of Velkhana’s debut in MH Now, Velkhana materials. Prepare through each of the event activities, upgrade your equipment, and get ready for the challenge!

New Riftborne Monsters: Bishaten & Lagombi
Bishaten and Lagombi arrive as new riftborne monsters! With this, it will now be possible to customize the style of their weapons.
And for a limited time only, you’ll need fewer materials to forge and upgrade Bishaten and Lagombi weapons!
Style Selection Unlocked: Hunting Horn
Get ready to change up the style of your hunting horn with style customization!
[Fleeting Melody]
A style centered around Melody Effects that lets you buff yourself with Fleeting Melody.
[Shockwave]
A style centered around chained follow-up attacks using Shockwave and Chords.
- Depending on the style you select, long-press actions and combos will change, offering different ways to use each weapon.
- Check the release notes on the day to read more about the styles.
- Only weapons that can be forged or upgraded with materials from riftborne monsters are eligible for style customization. Check eligible weapons with the filter on the equipment menu.
In addition, balance adjustments were recently made to the hunting horn alongside the introduction of style selection. Please see more details in the release notes.

- Submitting exploration reports at exploration bases, as well as earning Exploration Emblems and Slaying Emblems, will also be possible from the start of the Wave.

Conditions for Receiving Goal Rewards
Rewards can be obtained if the following conditions are met:
- Submit at least one exploration report at that exploration base between the start of the Wave and the end of the monster outbreak.
- Slay at least one target monster at that base.
Rewards can be earned each time the goal is achieved during an outbreak period. Rewards are granted after each time slot ends.
Even if the conditions are met at multiple exploration bases during the same time window, rewards can only be claimed from one exploration base.
