Midsummer Special Exchange Week is coming, bringing another chance to exchange materials for a wide variety of rewards!

During the event, you’ll earn Midsummer Special Exchange Tokens by hunting large monsters and completing specific quests. You can also earn additional tokens through group hunt rewards!

The Event Exchange Hub will feature rewards including an Item Box Expansion, Stygian Zinogre Rarity 6 materials, and large monster materials required to forge and upgrade equipment recommended for taking on Riftcharged Diablos in Base Defense. You’ll also be able to exchange for Bishaten and Lagombi materials, which will be required to forge the featured defense weapons for Base Defense.

Exchangeable materials can be earned from Elder Dragon Interception rewards, by slaying 10★ large monsters, and even more efficiently through group hunts. Be sure to make the most of Friend Link, and earn lots of rewards through group hunts!

Event Details

Midsummer Special Exchange Hub

Collect Midsummer Special Exchange Tokens from large monster hunt rewards, elder dragon slay or repel rewards, and certain quest rewards during the event.

You can trade your Midsummer Special Exchange Tokens for gatherable materials, small monster materials, large monster materials, and more. The lineup is designed so you can forge and upgrade the recommended equipment featured in-game using the materials you exchange, so be sure to take advantage of it!

• Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts

• Large monster materials (Bishaten, Lagombi, Barioth, Stygian Zinogre, Seregios, Brute Tigrex, Rajang, Deviljho)

Monster Appearances

Activity is expected to increase for the following monsters.

• Bishaten (including Riftborne)
• Lagombi (including Riftborne)
• Barioth (including Riftborne)
• Stygian Zinogre
• Seregios
• Brute Tigrex
• Rajang
• Deviljho (including Riftborne)

Dimensionally Linked Monsters

Only monsters featured in the event will appear as dimensionally linked monsters, which you can hunt with hunters from afar. For more information about Dimensional Links, please see here.

• Deviljho (including Riftborne) will not appear as a dimensionally linked monster.

Elder Dragon Appearances

Activity is expected to increase for the following elder dragon at Elder Dragon Interception points.

  • Receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards.

• More rewards for group hunts

  • Guaranteed second slot of monster materials for group hunt rewards.
  • Guaranteed third slot of 2 exchangeable materials for group hunt rewards.

Limited-Time Quests

Take on limited-time quests that require you to slay large monsters in group hunts or through Friend Link. Complete them to earn Midsummer Special Exchange Tokens and Friend Link Tokens!

Premium Quests

Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!

• Activate Premium Quests:

Additional Information

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• The Event Exchange Hub will be available until Sunday, August 9th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (local time).
• Exchangeable materials will be removed from your Item Box once the exchange period ends. Be sure to trade them in before it ends.
• Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
• Appearances of volatile territories on the field can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
• The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
• Deviljho will appear more frequently in volatile territories.
• During the event, Bazelgeuse will not appear in volatile territories.
• Volatile territories will not occur more frequently during the event.
• Event quests will be available from Monday, July 27th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. – Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
