As summer draws to a close, Monster Hunter Now is celebrating with Summer of Hunters 2026!

This event brings an exclusive weapon for you to collect! In addition, your access range will be expanded by 50% its normal size throughout the event.

The featured event weapon is the Tropical Cannon gunlance. It’s also one of the featured defense weapons for Season 10 Wave 3, so upgrade it while enjoying the event and get ready to take on Riftcharged Glavenus.

The field will be full of monsters, including riftborne monsters. On top of that, rewards from all large monster hunts and Elder Dragon Interceptions will be boosted, making this the perfect opportunity to upgrade your equipment.

It’s summer! It’s festival time! Let’s hunt!

Event-Exclusive Weapon

Collect an event-exclusive weapon to celebrate the Summer of Hunters 2026!
This weapon can also be style customized, and it’s a featured defense weapon, meaning it will grant bonuses in Base Defense.

How to Enjoy the Event

Completing the event quest Summer of Hunters 2026 I rewards you with a Summer of Hunters 2026 Forging Ticket. Use this ticket to forge the event-exclusive gunlance, Tropical Cannon!

Tropical Cannon Features and Upgrades

Features
Tropical Cannon is the first gunlance in Monster Hunter Now to wield the sleep element.
Attacking with a sleep element weapon can put monsters to sleep. The first hit after a monster falls asleep deals significantly increased damage, and Tropical Cannon can boost that damage even further with its Rude Awakener equipment skill.
As you upgrade the weapon, Rude Awakener can be increased all the way to Lv. 3, letting you unleash devastating attacks!

Style customization is also available, so be sure to try out different styles for different actions. We recommend Blast Dash, which lets you quickly get behind monsters and makes it easier to build up status effects with Wyrmstake Cannon.

In-game, you’ll find a recommended loadout featuring Rude Awakener alongside Artillery Lv. 5. Be sure to give it a try!

Upgrades
During the event, slaying any large monster will reward you with Summer of Hunters Upgrade Tickets, which are required for leveling up and overgrading the Tropical Cannon. Aim for Grade 10 and hunt as much as you can!

You can also obtain Summer of Hunters 2026 Style Customization Materials and Summer of Hunters 2026 Style Unlock Materials by slaying 8★ or higher large monsters and from Elder Dragon Interception rewards.
Other locations where you can obtain materials needed for forging, upgrading, and style customization are listed below. Enjoy the event while working on your Tropical Cannon!

• After the event ends, Summer of Hunters Upgrade Tickets, Summer of Hunters 2026 Style Customization Materials, and Summer of Hunters 2026 Style Unlock Materials will no longer be required, but the number and types of materials needed will increase.
• Please check the equipment upgrade menu in-game for the date when the required materials change.

② Challenge large monsters and elder dragons!

During the event, your access range will be expanded by 50%, making it easier to participate in Hunt-a-thons and Elder Dragon Interceptions, as well as hunt field monsters. Rewards from slaying all large monsters, including in Hunt-a-thons, as well as Elder Dragon Interception rewards will also be increased.
Use your Tropical Cannon and make progress on forging and upgrading your equipment!

③ Collect a variety of items at the Event Exchange Hub

Summer of Hunters 2026 Exchange Hub

Collect exchangeable Summer of Hunters 2026 Exchange Tokens from large monster hunt rewards, elder dragon slay or repel rewards, and certain quest rewards. At the Event Exchange Hub, you can trade these for items such as an exclusive Guild Card background.

  • Guaranteed Mysterious Driftstone T from all featured monsters and elder dragons (regular driftstones will not drop).

  • Distance required for driftsmelting with driftstones obtained during this event period reduced to 1 km.

Event-Exclusive Summer of Hunters 2026 Pass

Get the event-exclusive Summer of Hunters 2026 Pass! By completing the Summer of Hunters 2026 I quest, available during this event, you’ll raise your Event Tier and receive rewards based on your Tier level. The Pass includes a Free Plan and a paid Premium Plan. Purchasing the Premium Plan lets you earn even more rewards.

Rewards include Summer of Hunters 2026 Style Customization Materials and Summer of Hunters 2026 Style Unlock Materials, both of which are needed to style customize the event-exclusive weapon. Premium Plan holders will also have a chance to obtain event-exclusive stickers.
Make the most of it to upgrade your event-exclusive weapon!

Hunt-a-thons & Elder Dragon Interceptions Available 24 Hours

During the event period, you’ll be able to take on Hunt-a-thons and Elder Dragon Interceptions at any time! This may make it easier for hunters to match with others who normally have time zone differences or those with different daily schedules. Enjoy hunting together with hunters from around the world!

• Normal Hours: Around 6:15 a.m. – 11:45 p.m.
• Event Hours: 12:00 a.m. – 11:59 p.m. (24 hours)

This option makes it easier to find monsters such as Silver Rathalos, Seregios, Espinas, and Fulgur Anjanath. Choose this option if you’re looking to forge or upgrade the recommended equipment sets.

Additional Information

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• The event-exclusive weapon may become available again at a later date.
• To upgrade event-exclusive equipment, you may need not only specified tickets but also monster materials.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• The Event Exchange Hub will be available until Sunday, September 13th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. (local time).
• Exchangeable materials will be removed from your Item Box once the exchange period ends. Be sure to trade them in before it ends.
• Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
• Appearances of volatile territories on the field can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
• The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
• Deviljho and Bazelgeuse will appear more frequently in volatile territories.
• During certain times, Bazelgeuse will not appear in volatile territories.
