Reports have come in of Bazelgeuse being sighted in volatile territories, accompanied by a chorus of thunderous explosions!

In response, we’ve prepared limited-time quests centered on taking down Bazelgeuse. Completing these quests will reward you with valuable items such as Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, Ultra Hunting Tickets, and monster materials—including a Bazelgeuse Glandflux.

Equip yourself with thunder-element weapons and join forces with fellow hunters to bring down this explosive beast! Happy hunting!

  From Monday, February 10th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time)

• Bazelgeuse appearing more frequently:
  From Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time)

About Bazelgeuse:

A large monster that scours the lands in search of prey. It hunts by dispersing explosive scales that engulf everything within their blast radius.

Weapons and Armor Forgeable from Bazelgeuse Materials:

  Weapon types: Dual Blades, Long Sword, Lance, Gunlance, Switch Axe

  The new Valor skill increases attack power and the Special Gauge whenever a monster roars.

Event Details:

Monster appearances:

• Between Monday, February 10th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 8:59 a.m. (local time), there is a small chance that invasions in volatile territories will feature Bazelgeuse.
• Between Friday, February 14th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. and Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time), invasions will occur more often in volatile territories and all invasions are guaranteed to feature Bazelgeuse.
  *Volatile territories themselves will not occur more frequently.
  *Bazelgeuse will continue to appear in volatile territories after the event ends.

Limited-time quests:

• Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Bazelgeuse as part of an Urgent Quest.

Additional Information:

*The appearance of volatile territories on the field, as well as Bazelgeuse and Deviljho invasions, can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
*Until the period of increased Bazelgeuse appearances, Deviljho and Bazelgeuse both have a chance of appearing when invasions occur in volatile territories.
*The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
*Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
*Quests will be available from Monday, February 10th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, February 23rd, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
