Our first major update, Fulminations in the Frost, is coming this December 7th! Are you ready for a brand-new hunting experience? Read on to find out more about the update, as well as our event lineup for December!

Major update: Fulminations in the Frost

Our first major update since launch is finally here.
In this update, you can look forward to two new weapon types and four new monsters! We’ve even got some other new elements and adjustments lined up. Don’t forget to check out the new trailer themed around Fulminations in the Frost!

◆ Update Details

Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 12:00 a.m. (UTC)

◆ Welcome 4 new monsters!

A new Special Quest will give you the chance to discover Radobaan, Banbaro, Barioth, and Zinogre for the first time. Once you’ve completed the Urgent Quests that occur in each chapter of the Special Quest, you’ll be able to encounter and hunt Radobaan, Banbaro, and Barioth on the field. You’ll also face off against Zinogre in an Urgent Quest, but the next time you’ll see it will be in the upcoming event, Zinogre’s Onslaught (read more about it below!).

◆ 2 new weapon types will be added!

Introducing Dual Blades and Lances!

Dual Blades
This weapon hits quickly and boasts great mobility, allowing you to launch attacks in quick succession. Entering Demon Mode switches up the actions and enhances attack performance. It also has its own stamina gauge. Stamina gets used up while activated, ending Demon Mode once it has run out.
Special Skill: Heavenly Blade Dance (SP)—a series of fatal attacks that soar high into the sky, slicing through monsters.

Lance
This weapon allows you to guard by performing a Hold Action. It boasts very high defense and has a long reach. Performing a Counter-Thrust at just the right timing allows you to guard against monster attacks so you can inflict high damage with minimal vulnerability.
Special Skill: Dash Attack—a lethal, full-throttle thrust that penetrates through all defenses.

December Event Lineup

Qualily’s Special Quests

Look out for more time-limited Event Quests rewarding materials needed for upgrading equipment, such as Carpenterbugs and Monster Bones, as well as gatherable materials like Dragonite Ore, and Zenny! Event Quests will be available for an extended period this time.

Hunt Zinogre during Zinogre’s Onslaught!

While Zinogre will not appear on the field, you’ll be able to hunt it through a new means that will be introduced with the coming update. Stay tuned for more details on the day of the update!

The hunt continues through the new year with A Happy Hunting New Year!

Get ready to welcome back Pink Rathian and Black Diablos! You can also look forward to event-exclusive equipment and quests rewarding lots of Zenny.
