Numbers of Tigrex, Rajang, and Black Diablos are on the rise! Reports also show that a brand-new type of driftstone can be obtained when slaying these monsters. This new driftstone may grant your armor the new Special Partbreaker skill, or the Fighting Spirit skill. What’s more, in celebration of the 1.5-year anniversary, there’s also a chance to obtain mysterious driftgems during the event!
Now for some more exciting news: from this event onwards, you’ll be able to exchange driftstone shards for various types of mysterious driftgems, including those that have only been available in the past! Please note that the skills available from these driftgems have been adjusted (check the in-game info menu of each driftgem to see the list of potential skills).
During the event, certain monsters are guaranteed to drop either a Mysterious Driftstone E or Mysterious Driftgem E (with a lower chance) as basic rewards.

Monster appearances:
- During the event, these monsters will appear more frequently in the following habitats:
Tigrex: forest / tundra habitats
Rajang: forest / swamp habitats
Black Diablos: desert habitats
*Tigrex will appear in somewhat low numbers in forest habitats and also in low numbers in desert habitats.
*Rajang will appear in somewhat low numbers in forest habitats and also in low numbers in desert and tundra habitats.
Hunt-a-thon points:
- There will be some event-exclusive Hunt-a-thon points that feature only Tigrex, Rajang, or Black Diablos.
Driftstones:
- The limited-time Mysterious Driftstone E may be obtained by slaying any large monster.
Tigrex, Rajang, and Black Diablos are guaranteed to drop either Mysterious Driftstone E or Mysterious Driftgem E (low chance).
*Pale and Amber Driftstones will not drop. - All other large monsters may drop either a regular driftstone or Mysterious Driftstone E.
- The distance required for driftsmelting with driftstones obtained during this event period will be reduced from the usual 5 km to 2.5 km.
*Driftgems including Mysterious Driftgem E will require 5 km. - Mysterious Driftgem E will be eligible for exchanging driftstone shards.
- Mysterious Driftstone E and Mysterious Driftgem E may grant your armor the skills Special Parbreaker and Fighting Spirit.

Mysterious Driftstone E may grant your armor the new skill Special Partbreaker.
Skill: Special Partbreaker
Skill effect: Increases accumulated damage upon breakable parts when using Special Skills and fills Special Gauge each time a body part is broken.
What to know: This skill helps you break even more monster parts than before. Focus on part breaking and activate your Special Skills as often as you can!
Mysterious Driftgems Now Exchangeable Anytime!
Starting from this event, you’ll be able to exchange driftstone shards for various types of mysterious driftgems anytime.
*Excludes Mysterious Driftgem C.

*Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
*Driftsmelting can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
*The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
*Event quests will be available from Monday, March 24th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, March 30th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
*Driftstones can be obtained when you have space to store new ones.
*The distance required to smelt a driftstone acquired before the event period will remain 5 km even if it is smelted during the event period, but the distance required for a driftstone acquired by hunting a monster during the event period will remain 2.5 km after the event period ends.
*The distance required to smelt driftgems obtained by exchanging driftstone shards will remain the same during the event.
*To forge equipment using materials obtained from Premium Quests, you must first slay the corresponding monster or unlock it on the field.
