To celebrate the first appearance of the elder dragon Malzeno in Monster Hunter Now, we’re excited to announce the MH Now Autumn Hunt 2025!

A paid online event will also take place from Nov. 20 (Thu) to Nov. 21 (Fri) and Nov. 22 (Sat) to Nov. 23 (Sun).
You can choose either period to join, so pick the time that works best for you!

• Malzeno will arrive with the update on Thursday, November 20th! From Nov. 17 (Mon) to Nov. 19 (Wed), make use of active monsters and event effects to prepare your equipment and get ready to face Malzeno!

Monster Appearances

Activity is expected to increase for the following monsters.

• Deviljho (including Riftborne)
• Legiana (including Riftborne)
• Brute Tigrex
• Glavenus
• Garangolm

During the event, Deviljho will appear on the field as well as in invasions.

  • Receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards.
  • Chance of receiving 10 additional Rarity 1 materials from the slayed monster.

• More rewards for group hunts

  • Guaranteed second slot of monster materials for group hunt rewards.

• Specific weapons and armor boosted

Autumn Hunt 2025 Prologue: Limited-Time Quests

Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Deviljho and Glavenus, or slaying monsters in group hunts. Complete them to earn Deviljho and Glavenus materials, and more!

Use quest rewards to forge and upgrade dragon element weapons and armor with helpful skills to take on Malzeno! In-game, you’ll also find a recommended loadout using dragon element weapons, so be sure to check it out and make the most of it.

Event-Exclusive: Use 2 Special Carving Knives

During the event, you can use up to 2 Special Carving Knives in a single hunt. Using 2 knives will triple the materials you receive, making it much easier to efficiently gather materials from Malzeno! Be sure to use them to target wanted or hard-to-get items.

Elder Dragon Malzeno Appears!

Malzeno finally appears in Elder Dragon Interceptions. Ready your upgraded weapons and face the challenge!

This monster makes use of wide-ranging attacks of great force. Be wary of its attacks that inflict the Bloodblight status. Once its health falls below half, the tips of its front legs and tail begin to glow red. In this form, it will unleash relentless combo attacks and exhibit greater movement speed, able to now close the gap between the two of you in an instant. On the other hand, the glowing red body parts actually act as its weakness, and inflicting enough damage upon them can undo this state. Aim your counter-attacks for the gap right after it attacks.

Malzeno’s weakness is the dragon element. During the event, you’ll have more opportunities to hunt Deviljho, offering materials to forge dragon element weapons. Plus, for the first time, Deviljho will appear in the field like other monsters! Hunt Deviljho, upgrade your dragon element weapons, and prepare to face Malzeno!

  • Skill: Malzeno Crimsonblood
    What to know: Reduces damage received from dragon element monsters and increases your weapon’s dragon element value.
  • Skill: Blood Cloak
    What to know: Inflict yourself with bloodblight at the start of a hunt, or when a certain amount of damage is dealt to a monster. When afflicted with bloodblight for the first time, your health increases, and while under its effect, your attack power increases. The effect varies depending on the skill level.

In-game, you’ll find a recommended loadout that makes use of Malzeno Crimsonblood and Blood Cloak, so be sure to check it out!
