A 2nd Anniversary Driftsmelting Event is coming! Get ready to collect a brand-new type of mysterious driftstone for the chance to add the new skill Offensive Dodger to your armor.
On top of that, you’ll have a higher chance of receiving Crimson/Azure/Amber/Cyan/Pale Driftstones, making it easier to collect the ones you’re looking for!

Event Details

Monster Appearances

• Activity is expected to increase for the following monsters:
  • Rathian (including riftborne)
  • Glavenus
  • Mizutsune
  • Black Diablos
  • Deviljho (including riftborne)

Event Effects

• More slay rewards for large monsters

  • Receive two of each material in the first and second slots of basic rewards when slaying the featured monsters.

• Driftsmelting bonus

  • Slay any large monster for a chance of receiving Mysterious Driftstone J.
    • Guaranteed drop from any of the featured monsters (regular driftstones will not drop).
  • Slay any large monster other than the featured ones for a higher chance of receiving a Crimson/Azure/Amber/Cyan/Pale Driftstone.
  • The distance required for driftsmelting with driftstones obtained during this event period will be 1 km.

New Driftstone & Driftgem

A new driftstone, Mysterious Driftstone J, will be available! Mysterious Driftgem J will become eligible for exchanging driftstone shards. Mysterious Driftstone J and Mysterious Driftgem J may grant your armor the skills Offensive Dodger and Fighting Spirit.

New Skill: Offensive Dodger

Mysterious Driftstone J may grant your armor the new skill, Offensive Dodger!

• Skill name: Offensive Dodger
  Skill effect: Increases damage for a few seconds after performing a perfect evade.

Limited-Time Quests

Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Glavenus and Mizutsune. Complete them to earn materials corresponding to the target monster for that quest.

Premium Quests

Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!

2nd Anniversary: Driftgems in the Shop!

Special driftgems will be available in the in-game Shop to celebrate the 2nd anniversary.

◆ Partbreaker Driftgem

A special material used in driftsmelting to grant skills to armor. This driftgem guarantees the skill Partbreaker.

Skill effect: Increases part damage accumulated on breakable parts.

◆ Special Partbreaker Driftgem

A special material used in driftsmelting to grant skills to armor. This driftgem guarantees the skill Special Partbreaker.

Skill effect: Increases accumulated damage upon breakable parts when using Special Skills, and fills Special Gauge each time a body part is broken.

The skills available with the 2nd anniversary driftgems both make it easier to break monster parts, including the special parts of riftborne monsters. This will greatly support you in hunts, helping you bring down tough adversaries more efficiently!

You can also expect extra materials from broken part rewards, making these skills perfect for style customization and forging or upgrading your equipment. Be sure to make the most of them!

Additional Information

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
• Driftsmelting can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
• Appearances of volatile territories on the field can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
  The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies.
• During the event, Bazelgeuse will not invade in volatile territories.
• Volatile territories will not occur more frequently during the event.
• Event quests will be available from Monday, September 29th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, October 5th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
• Driftstones can be obtained when you have space to store new ones.
• The distance required to smelt a driftstone acquired before the event period will remain 5 km even if it is smelted during the event period, but the distance required for a driftstone acquired by hunting a monster during the event period will remain 1 km after the event period ends.
• The distance required to smelt driftgems obtained by exchanging driftstone shards will remain the same during the event.
