Another Driftsmelting Bonanza event is on the horizon!
This time, you’ll be able to obtain a new type of Mysterious Driftstone, which may grant the new skill, Charge Master, to your armor. On top of that, you’ll have a higher chance of receiving Crimson/Azure/Amber/Cyan/Pale Driftstones, so this is your chance to grab the driftstones you’ve been looking for more easily than usual.
Make the most of this opportunity to get smelting!

Event Details
Monster Appearances
- Activity is expected to increase for the following monsters:
- Magnamalo (including riftborne)
- Gold Rathian
- Pink Rathian
- Nargacuga
- Lunagaron
Elder Dragon Appearances
- Only the following will appear at Elder Dragon Interception points:
- Chameleos
Event Effects
- Driftsmelting bonus
- Slay any large monster for a chance of receiving Mysterious Driftstone K.
- Guaranteed drop from any of the featured monsters and Chameleos (regular driftstones will not drop).
- Slay any large monster other than the featured ones for a higher chance of receiving a Crimson/Azure/Amber/Cyan/Pale Driftstone.
- The distance required for driftsmelting with driftstones obtained during this event period will be 1 km.
- Slay any large monster for a chance of receiving Mysterious Driftstone K.
New Driftstone & Driftgem
Collect a new driftstone, Mysterious Driftstone K! In addition, you’ll be able to obtain Mysterious Driftgem K by exchanging driftstone shards. Mysterious Driftstone K and Mysterious Driftgem K may grant your armor the Charge Master and Focus skills.

- Skill name: Charge Master
Skill effect: Increases elemental value of charged attacks and abnormal status buildup.
Limited-Time Quests
Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Nargacuga and Lunagaron. Complete them to earn materials for the target monster!
Premium Quests
Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!

Additional Information
- All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
- Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
- Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
- Driftsmelting can be unlocked by completing the pre-season story.
The pre-season story refers to the period from the end of the prologue to the completion of Chapter 13: Sunderer of the Skies. - Event quests will be available from Monday, October 20th, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. until Sunday, October 26th, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. (local time). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
- Driftstones can be obtained when you have space to store new ones.
- The distance required to smelt a driftstone acquired before the event period will remain 5 km even if it is smelted during the event period, but the distance required for a driftstone acquired by hunting a monster during the event period will remain 1 km after the event period ends.
- The distance required to smelt driftgems obtained by exchanging driftstone shards will remain the same during the event.
