This summer’s hottest event, the Summer Hunt 2024, is just around the corner! For maximum enjoyment, we’ve prepared a special paid ticket that will grant access to the Summer Hunt 2024: Dark Daydreams, an additional paid in-game event. This is your ticket for a significantly upgraded hunting experience and you’ll even get first dibs on Nightshade Paolumu!

We’ll also have special quests just for paid ticket holders with rewards including monster materials, exclusive layered equipment, and a hunter medal.

Event Details:

The following features will be available exclusively to paid ticket holders during this event!

• Enjoy festival visuals in the background of the hunting screen and gathering points.
• Hunt Nightshade Paolumu in forest and desert habitats, as well as at Hunt-a-thon points.
• More frequent appearances of Mizutsune.
• Increased access range in the field by 50%*.
  *Cannot be combined with a Wander Droplet or Wander Orb.
• Large monsters reappear after 30 minutes.
• No waiting times for Elder Dragon Interceptions and Hunt-a-thons, meaning you can join one whenever you want.
• Take on limited-time Summer Hunt 2024: Dark Daydreams quests. Rewards include Nightshade Paolumu materials, exclusive layered equipment, a hunter medal, and even a Wyvern Gem Shard if you make it to the end.

◆ Hunting Nightshade Paolumu

• Nightshade Paolumu will only appear on the field and in Hunt-a-thons for those who have purchased a ticket.
• You can mark a Nightshade Paolumu with a Paintball during the event.
• It will be possible to conduct group hunts for Nightshade Paolumu with those who have not purchased a ticket by recruiting from the field or the Paintball list.
• In Hunt-a-thons that include Nightshade Paolumu, only ticket holders will be matched, even when recruiting hunters further afield.

About Nightshade Paolumu

Nightshade Paolumu has been spotted in forest and desert habitats and can be identified by its black-colored body.

This monster may spend extended periods of time in the air while its neck pouch is inflated, unleashing sleep-inducing gas and powerful thrust attacks. If you have not prepared in advance for its sleeping breath, it would be wise to distance yourself while it performs this attack. Much like its usual counterpart, breaking the neck pouch of this subspecies, or alternatively inflicting sleep/paralysis/stun upon it will bring it down towards the ground. Make good use of your water-element or status ailment-inducing weapons!

With the appearance of Nightshade Paolumu, get ready for additional weapons and armor! The Lumu Phantasm Set features a new skill, Rude Awakener, which increases the damage of the first attack dealt to sleeping monsters. This will also be the first time you can forge a Lance, Bow, or Light Bowgun with the sleep element. Don’t miss this opportunity to slay Nightshade Paolumu and forge yourself some new gear!

How to purchase a ticket and other details

• Tickets will become available for purchase in the in-game shop or through the Special Quests tab once the latest V79 update is installed after Thursday, July 11th.
• All hunters HR 11 and above can purchase a ticket.
• Once you have your ticket, event features such as Nightshade Paolumu appearances and exclusive quests will become available once the event starts.
• Please note that the switch to Hunt-a-thons featuring Nightshade Paolumu will happen on Saturday, July 20th at 9:00 a.m. (local) for those who pre-purchased a ticket and from the moment of purchase for those who purchase after the event has begun.
  *Any Hunt-a-thons that are in progress at the time of the switch will be discontinued so make sure to be aware of the timing.
• Ticket sales will end two hours before the end of the event on Sunday, July 21st at 9:59 p.m. (local).
• Please note that once purchased, tickets are non-refundable (except as stated in applicable law and the Terms of Service).

*Nightshade Paolumu will become available in events that do not require a ticket purchase in the future. Stay tuned for further details at a later date.
