A brand-new season begins! During this event, the appearance rates of the monsters joining Season 8, Astalos, Goss Harag, and Quematrice, as well as the newly added Riftborne Khezu, will be boosted!

One of the objectives of Season 8 will be to slay the riftcharged monster that appears in the final week of each month-long Wave (exploration period), starting with this event. First up is Riftcharged Rathian, arriving in January, so let’s prepare!

Weapons forged from Astalos and Khezu materials, both of which appear more frequently in this event, are designated featured defense weapons, granting a bonus when used against riftcharged monsters.

Gather plenty of Astalos and Khezu materials and get ready for the coming challenge!

Activity is expected to increase for the following monsters.

• Astalos
• Goss Harag
• Quematrice
• Khezu (including Riftborne)

• Specific weapons and armor boosted
  • Equipment using materials from Astalos, Goss Harag, and Quematrice will be boosted.

Season 8 Kickoff: Special Hunt-a-thon Ticket

By purchasing a Special Hunt-a-thon Ticket, you can enjoy various bonuses to help you in your hunts! Exclusive quests will also be available only to ticket holders. Make the most of this ticket to enhance your hunting experience!

• Effects of the Special Hunt-a-thon Ticket

  • In Hunt-a-thons, only Astalos will appear.
  • The access range will be expanded by 50% at all times, and you will get double the materials from slaying small monsters and from gathering points.
    Cannot be combined with a Wander Orb, Wander Droplet, or Wander Powder.
  • Take on limited-time quests.
    No Hunter Medals will be awarded as quest rewards.

• Separate tickets will be available for Dec. 12 (Fri), Dec. 13 (Sat), Dec. 14 (Sun), Dec. 15 (Mon), and Dec. 16 (Tue).

• Ticket effects will apply from 9:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. (local time) on the corresponding date.

• Ticket sales are planned to begin around Dec. 11 (Thu).

• Tickets can be purchased via the in-app Shop, the Special Quests tab, or the Web Store. Purchases made through the Web Store include a bonus Item Box Expansion.

Limited-Time Quests

Take on limited-time quests that include slaying Astalos and Goss Harag. Complete them to earn materials for the target monster!
These quests reward more Season Tier Points than usual.

Premium Quests

Premium Quests are quests that can be unlocked by exchanging gems in the in-game shop. Complete these quests to earn valuable rewards!

In addition to the above, completing each quest will grant Hunter Rank Points, Season Tier Points, and more. See the in-game Shop for details.

Weapons Forgeable and Upgradeable with Khezu Materials

Weapons forged or upgraded using Khezu materials boast high affinity, reaching up to 20% affinity when upgraded. Pair them with skills that affect critical hits, such as Critical Eye, Weakness Exploit, Critical Boost, and Critical Element, to make the most of their high affinity potential.
Starting with the Season 8 update, you’ll also be able to forge dual blades using Khezu materials. A recommended dual blades loadout will be introduced in-game, so be sure to check it out for inspiration!

• All hunters who have completed the prologue can enjoy the event content.
• Event quests will automatically become available in the Special Quests tab to all hunters who have completed the prologue.
• Riftborne monsters will only start to appear after you have unlocked 8★ monsters on the field.
• Event quests will be available from Thursday, December 11th, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. until Sunday, December 21st, 2025, at 2:59 p.m. (UTC). Be sure to complete the quests and receive your rewards between these times.
