The MH Now 2.5-Year Anniversary event is packed with rewards for longtime hunters, while also offering plenty of benefits for new and returning hunters. It’s also a great opportunity to upgrade weapons across a variety of elements!
Popular Elemental Weapons with Reduced Material Requirements!
Materials required to forge and upgrade weapons made from Mizutsune, Deviljho, Legiana, and Magnamalo materials will be significantly reduced. These include water, dragon, ice, and blast element weapons. Take this chance to upgrade popular elemental weapons! New and returning hunters won’t want to miss it.
Hope Weapons Return with Style Customization!
To celebrate 2.5 years, Hope weapons are returning with style customization now available. They’re ideal for trying out different styles, and the materials required to forge and upgrade them will also be reduced during the event. If you haven’t challenged Base Defense yet, we recommend forging a Hope weapon first, then using it to help forge and upgrade featured defense weapons.

Through the 2.5-Year Anniversary Event Exchange Hub and quests, you can earn an exclusive hunter medal, Guild Card background, and stickers.

We’re spotlighting popular weapons with water, dragon, ice, and blast elements!
During the periods below, the materials required to forge and upgrade weapons made from Mizutsune, Deviljho, Legiana, and Magnamalo materials will be significantly reduced.

Monster Investigations that make it easier to find the featured monsters will also be available. Selecting the Monster Investigation featuring Deviljho will cause Deviljho to appear in the field!

Hope weapons, the first weapons hunters equip in Monster Hunter Wilds, are making a comeback with style customization now available!
For a limited time, the amount of materials required to upgrade them will be significantly reduced. Up to a certain grade, you can upgrade using only Hope Weapon Upgrade Tickets, without spending zenny or gatherable materials.
Hope weapons also require fewer materials for style customization compared to other weapons, making them perfect for trying out different style selections. They’ll also receive a boost during the event, so whether you’re a new hunter or returning after a break, be sure to forge one!

- Hope Weapon Forging Tickets required to forge Hope weapons can be obtained from the Daily 2.5-Year Anniversary Quest I and Daily 2.5-Year Anniversary Quest II distributed during the event period.
- Starting Monday, March 9th, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. (local time), the hunting horn Hope Horn can be forged.
- Starting Thursday, March 19th, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. (UTC), the insect glaive Hope Glaive can be forged.
- Hope Weapon Upgrade Tickets required to upgrade Hope weapons can be obtained from large monster slay rewards and elder dragon slay or repel rewards. Hope Weapon Upgrade Tickets can be earned until Monday, March 30th, 2026, at 2:59 p.m. (UTC)
- After the material reduction period ends, Hope Weapon Upgrade Tickets will no longer be required; however, the types and number of materials needed will increase.
- The material required to unlock the style selection for the Hope Weapon is Wyvern Scarcestone ×1. Riftborne materials are not required.
- The style enhancement for the Hope Weapon is available up to Lv. 5.
Hope Weapons: Great for New and Returning Hunters!
The Hope weapons returning in this event are highly recommended as the first weapons to forge for new and returning hunters alike!
Easy Upgrades with Reduced Materials!
During the event, you can upgrade up to a certain grade using only upgrade tickets. Upgrade tickets can be obtained from slaying large monsters and more, so take on hunts and gather what you need!
Boosted and Ready for the Hunt!
During the event, a boost effect allows you to take down monsters even if your weapon isn’t fully upgraded.
A boost increases your performance during hunts. For example, if you use Hope Sword (Grade 3) to hunt a 6★ large monster (recommended grade: 6), its performance during the hunt will increase to be equivalent to Grade 6.
Simple Style Customization!
Once your weapon reaches Grade 8, style customization becomes available, allowing you to increase stats and change weapon actions. Hope weapons require fewer materials for style customization than other weapons, making them ideal for experiencing style customization for the first time.
Style customization is unlocked as you progress through the game until 8★ monsters begin appearing in the field. New and returning hunters can aim to unlock style customization as a key milestone!
With upgrades, Hope weapons have the potential to take on 8★ and even 9★ monsters solo. Upgrade your Hope weapons while exploring everything Monster Hunter Now has to offer. Once you’re comfortable, try forging other weapons and various armor, and take on monster outbreaks and Base Defense!
During the event, you can earn 2.5-Year Anniversary Exchange Tokens from large monster slay rewards, elder dragon slay or repel rewards, and certain quest rewards. At the Event Exchange Hub, you can trade these tokens for 2.5 anniversary commemorative stickers, Wyvern Scarcestone, monster materials (Mizutsune, Deviljho), and more!

- Starting Thursday, March 19th, 2026, at 12:00 a.m. (UTC), stickers, Wyvern Gem Shard, and monster materials (Magnamalo, Legiana) will be added. In addition, alongside the arrival of Riftborne Zinogre in Season 9, Zinogre monster materials will also be added.
Take on 2.5-Year Anniversary Quests! In the first half, you can earn an exclusive hunter medal, and in the second half, an exclusive Guild Card background. You can also earn Hope Weapon Forging Tickets, required to forge Hope weapons, as login-based quest rewards.
The 2.5-Year Anniversary Quests are especially recommended for new and returning hunters. Start by playing a little each day!
