Malzeno
A dragon covered with elegant silver scales. It uses the Qurio to drain the life energy of other living creatures, creeping around at night and attacking its prey from behind. It appears almost regal to start with, but after draining enough energy, it can turn a violent, fresh-blood crimson. This form is known as the “Bloodening” and is widely feared.

Useful Information
This monster makes use of wide-ranging attacks of great force—however, it leaves itself wide open after each action, providing plenty of chances to launch a counter-attack.
Be wary of its attacks that inflict the Bloodblight status.
Once its health falls below half, it will enter what is known as its “Bloodening” state, as the tips of its front legs and tail begin to glow red. In this form, it will unleash relentless combo attacks and exhibit greater movement speed, able to now close the gap between the two of you in an instant. If it has chosen you as its target, it would be wise to focus on evasion and defense as you wait for an opportunity to strike back.
On the other hand, the glowing red body parts seen during its Bloodening state actually act as its weakness, since inflicting enough damage upon them can undo its Bloodening. As such, the goal of the latter half of a Malzeno hunt should be to attack its glowing body parts.
Take note that projectiles such as arrows and ammo will have very little effect if aimed at its head.
