Useful Information
This monster scatters the explosive scales stored in its head and tail as it attacks.
Once the scales land on the ground, they will eventually explode, either after a certain amount of time has passed or as a result of the monster’s actions.
When it begins to glow red and enters into a superheated state, these scales will start to explode immediately, further increasing its offensive pressure.
However, the amount of scales which it fires off decreases the more times it uses them. As such, take note of the number of scales being dispersed and plan your counterattack accordingly.
You may also actively reduce the number of scales it scatters by breaking its head or tail. Additionally, stunning it, breaking its body parts or inflicting status ailments while it is airborne can cause it to come crashing to the ground, removing all of the scales lodged in its head and tail. Alternatively, you can achieve the same effect by inflicting enough damage to its legs, causing it to topple over.
It can therefore be said that the key to successfully slaying this monster is to focus on removing its explosive scales.
